Who is behind easyESEF
Ignacio Boixo is the founder and CEO of easyESEF together with a team of professionals from the financial and IT sectors.
Ignacio started in 2005 his venture on financial reporting with structured data as coordinator of the first European XBRL taxonomies –COREP and FINREP for banking supervision- representing the Bank of Spain. He led the creation of the Eurofiling Foundation and the Open Source Association Openfiling, as open meeting place for Regulators, Supervisors and Entities from both the public and private sector. Ignacio chairs the e-Business Coordination Group of the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN), and the International Relations of the XBRL Spain Association. Ignacio is a founder Board Member of XBRL Europe, and served in different roles in XBRL International, being awarded for that. In International Cooperation, Ignacio was director of XBRL training for LatinAmerican regulators, who have implemented it in all the relevant countries in that hemisphere.
His dual qualification as a Computer Engineer and a Diploma in Advanced Economic Studies offers him the dual technological and business perspective of financial regulatory reporting. And his past experience as a consultant and as an IT specialist in Central Banking also offers him the double perspective of the regulator and the reporting entity. Ignacio is the author of a number of specialised articles about standards on reporting.
With partners in Madrid, Frankfurt, Dublin and Washington, Ignacio has created easyESEF Ltd. leveraging his experience to offer a simple and affordable solution to the European market.
